We're off to Japan - Itinerary

On October the 1st 2014, at 1am in the morning, Anthony and I will be on a Cathay Pacific flight to Narita Airport. This is my second trip to Japan and a first for A (first time overseas as well). My last trip was just less than two weeks and I fell in love with the culture, food and nature of such a beautiful country.

This time we're travelling south from Tokyo through Chubu, Kansai and very briefly into Chugoku. In planning this trip I've taken a lot of inspiration from other travel blogs, in particular Paul's Travel Pics. Hopefully this blog will serve a similar purpose in recommending (and inspiring) places to eat, stay and the hidden places to visit. And I really am keen to share our experiences and photos because last time I didn't keep a good record of the wonderful places we went (also A has a much better camera than I did at the time).

So, enough waffle, where are we going? (I will link these in when we write up each post)

We'll try and update as often as we can. I know I'm not much of a writer but we'll post lots of pictures and food reviews to keep you (hopefully) interested. Our budget isn't super luxury but not backpacker cheap either. Due to this, we're staying in a range of different accommodations: hotels, minshuku, ryokan and even sneaking in a night at a buddist temple. The hope is we'll get the most authentic feel that a tourist could possibly get.

Well, enjoy and we hope you enjoy coming on our trip with us.
